The pace of offensive operations in eastern Ukraine will increase in the coming weeks - US analysts

Examiners at the Organization for the Investigation of War (ISW) are persuaded that the general speed of military activities in eastern Ukraine is probably going to get before long.

Subtleties: American experts note that because of cooling and freezing of the earth, weather patterns will emerge in the east of Ukraine soon, which will add to a higher speed of threats.

The Organization report cited a Russian military blogger as saying on December 3 that the ground on the Kremennaya-Svatovo line was frozen and that Ukrainian powers were probably going to build the speed of counter-hostile tasks nearby.

ISW mentioned that the head of the Lugansk Regional State Administration Serhiy Gaidai also spoke about this.  He stated that the weather is finally changing on the Kremennaya-Svatovo line.  The official expects Ukrainian forces to soon be able to improve their counter-offensive maneuver operations as the mud in the area has completely frozen over.

The overall pace of operations is likely to pick up in the coming weeks, according to preliminary ISW estimates, as persistent cold weather allows the ground to freeze throughout the theater, especially in eastern Ukraine, where both sides are mired in heavy swamp.

Analysts are convinced that the Russians and Ukrainians are unlikely to halt their offensive operations at a time of year when weather conditions are favorable for mechanized maneuver warfare in eastern Ukraine.

ISW Key Findings:

Ukrainian troops reportedly reached the eastern bank of the Dnieper opposite the city of Kherson.

Weather conditions in eastern Ukraine are likely to become more favorable for faster offensive operations.

The defense ministers of Russia and Belarus met in Minsk, which is likely to further strengthen bilateral security ties between Russia and Belarus.

Ukrainian troops are likely to continue advancing northwest from Kremennaya.

The Russian invaders continued ground attacks around Bakhmut, in the Avdiivka-Donetsk region, as well as in the western part of Donetsk and eastern Zaporozhye regions.

Russian authorities reportedly evacuated Russian collaborators from Alyoshka.

The Organizational and Staff Directorate of the Russian National Guard confirmed that the mobilization is continuing, despite the fact that Vladimir Putin announced the formal completion of partial mobilization on October 31.

The Russian authorities continue to use judicial measures to strengthen administrative control over the occupied territories.
